Road Repair

the furnishing of all labor and material for the repair of Freedom Lane, Dicky Lane between Venetian Lane and Freedom Lane, and Cynthia Lane between Dicky Lane and Severson drive in the Town of Blooming Grove. The Town of Blooming Grove reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waiver irregularities and informalities therein, and to award the contract in the best interests of the Town. The work to be done is on Freedom Lane, and on Dicky Lane between Freedom and Venetian, and on Cynthia Lane between Dicky and Severson. The project must include meeting up with the good pavement on all existing driveways on both sides of the street, thus an on-site inspection is recommended. Specifically to perform the following: 1) Pulverize existing asphalt pavement in place; remove as needed. 2) Crown and grade the road such that any potential ponding is eliminated. 3) Grade the road such that it meets up with the existing driveways. 4) Fine-grade the base course material for paving. 5) Construct a two-lift 3 1/2 " asphalt pavement. 6) Asphalt specification: the mix shall be 4 LT 58-28 S hot mix asphalt per the latest edition of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WDOT) specifications, section 460.3.1. Materials and construction shall conform to the requirements of the latest edition of WDOT specifications, sections 450, 455 and 460. Additionally, materials and construction shall conform to the requirements of the current WDOT ASP 6, 460.2.1, which includes the regression of air voids from 4.0% to 3.0% with asphalt cement. 7) Omitted from the aforementioned requirements will be Ride quality requirements and testing (section 440), QMP mixture sampling and testing (section 460.2.8), nuclear density testing (section 460.3.3), PG binder and tack coat sampling and testing (section 455.2.2 and 455.2.3), cold weather paving (section 450.3.2.1) and safety edge (section 450.3.2.11).
