Runway 5-23 Rehabilitation

This project includes the rehabilitation of Runway 5-23 at Massena International Airport This project includes the rehabilitation of Runway 5-23 at Massena International Airport. The pavement area to be rehabilitated includes approximately 5600 If x 100 If and includes a portion of connecting stub taxiways and connections to parallel Taxiway A at each runway end. The rehabilitation will include milling and overlaying existing bituminous asphalt pavement with new bituminous asphalt pavement. Some areas of partial depth reconstruction will also be included based on existing pavement section depth, A portion of the cross wind runway 9-27 at the intersection to Runway 5-23 will also be included to ensure proper runway grading.. The project also includes replacement of the existing runway edge lighting system and guidance signs connected to the Runway 5-23 edge lighting circuit. The project also includes associated drainage improvements, grading, pavement markings, and restoration of disturbed surfaces.
