Description | The Department of Veterans Affairs has a construction requirement to repair the roof on D-Wing of building 1 at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center in accordance with drawings and specifications. The NAICS code is 238160 and a Small Business size standard of $16.5 million. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for Service Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Site Visit Scheduled for March 16, 2023 at 10AM EST. Meeting outside of Building 1 in gazebo area. Site Visit is RECOMMENDED by not required. This will be the only scheduled visit during the solicitation phase. RFI's are due March 23, 2023 by 10AM EST. The Government will award a FIRM-FIXED PRICE CONTRACT. Evaluation - Award shall be made on the basis of Price and Other Factors. To be considered responsive, offerors shall respond in writing to the evaluation factors to Angelo.Harris@va.gov. The information contained in the technical proposal should be complete, concise, and address each factor completely. Submit one electronic copy of the technical proposal. Proposals are due electronically to angelo.harris@va.gov, April 6, 2023 by 12PM EST. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Pursuant to VAAR 836.204 between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Contract Specialist: Angelo Harris, Angelo.Harris@va.gov This project replaces all roof areas designated on the provided design and as per provided specifications. This includes lightning protection work. The Contractor shall accomplish all required demolition per roof area per approved design. This shall include but is not limited to removing and disposing of existing roofing materials, drain covers, grounding cabling, roof ballast, membrane, insulation, abandoned and/or no longer used equipment curbs, loose trash/ debris and edge metal flashing. The Contractor shall install an approved roofing system per design and/or manufacturer's instructions and requirements. All pipes, drains, curbs, and other penetrations shall be addressed by the contractor. The Contractor shall install walkway pads (if required) per approved design from access points/stairs to all mechanical equipment. The Contractor shall ensure proper slope is maintained and water is directed to drains without ponding. A manufacturer's standard warranty will be provided upon completion of the new roof. All mobilization areas used by the contractor shall be returned to original condition or better *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
