2022 Crack Seal Project

The project consists of 274 street segments and 4 parking lots (see included list). Streets are to be crack sealed with approved material This is a formal solicitation of bids, which will be reviewed to determine that the functional requirements of Sandy City are met. The Sandy City shall be the sole judge as to which bid constitutes the lowest, responsive, and responsible. An award will be made after the appropriate approvals are received. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond payable to Sandy City (OWNER) for five percent of the total amount of the bid. A copy of the bid bond must be included with your bid submission. Following the bid opening the awarded contractor must provide a hard copy of the bid bond. When the contract is executed, and OWNER receives the performance, payment, and all other required bonds, the bid bond of the successful bidder will be returned. A performance and payment bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount, with a corporate surety approved be owner, will be required to ensure faithful performance of the contract. The duration of the performance and payment bond shall be one year after the anticipated completion date of the project. Failure to comply with the project schedule will result in liquidated damages of $250/day for late completion and $150/day for late punch list completion, as specified in the agreement. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid in total or in part unless the offeror clearly states in its bid that acceptance must be on an all or none basis, to waive any minor irregularity or technical error in the form of bids or in compliance with the instructions to offeror, and to stop the selection process at any time it is considered to be in the best interests of the City.
