Term Agreement for Bridge Design Support Services - Albany and Syracuse Divisions

Contract term: 3 years, with an option for the Authority to extend for 2 additional 1-year terms Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Total MWBE Participation Goals: 30% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Disadvantaged Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 0% The New York State Thruway Authority ("Authority") is seeking to retain a qualified engineering firm to provide bridge design services in the Albany and Syracuse Divisions. Assignments may be made at any time over the duration of the contract and may be concurrent. The New York State Thruway is a limited access, high-speed, high-volume highway. In addition to the mainline bridges that carry the Thruway, the Authority also maintains overhead bridges carrying local and state highways over the Thruway system. Existing bridges typically consist of (1950/60s) multi-span steel girder bridges with concrete decks. Projects will primarily include rehabilitation or replacement of existing bridges or other structures. Construction staging and traffic control to minimize traffic disruptions will be a major component of the design. Vertical clearance improvements over the Thruway to meet current standards will be a project requirement. Projects may include, but not limited to: Bridge rehabilitation including steel repairs, bearing replacement, deck and /or superstructure replacement, substructure repairs, joint replacement, etc. Mainline or overhead bridge replacement Seismic rehabilitation/retrofit Slope stabilization/retaining wall/excavation support Temporary structures Emergency repairs Overhead sign structures
