Tank Inspection, Repair, and Coating

A. Professional Inspection & Consulting Services: The services, to be provided by the contractor, may consist, but is not limited to the following for miscellaneous Glendale Water and Wastewater projects located throughout the Glendale Water service area: 1. Applying protective coatings on wastewater process equipment, structural support members, piping, tanks, motors, mechanical equipment, manholes, lift station wet wells and accessory items throughout the Water Department infrastructure 2. Providing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals required to make necessary surface repairs and preparation in order to apply protective coating systems. 3. Ensuring proper surface preparation and coating of all existing interior/exterior items and surfaces throughout the project areas. 4. Preparation of surfaces and application of coatings according to the City of Phoenix Guide Specifications, 09900-Painting and 15050- Piping Systems 5. Meeting City of Phoenix Supplement to MAG 626 corrosion Coating of Sanitary Sewer Manholes 6. Working within confined spaces in conformance with OSHA, local laws and standards 7. Apply protective coatings on water production and process equipment, such as pumps, motors, piping, water storage tanks and all other related process equipment. 8. Apply Paint colors, labeling and placards as specified by the City, OSHA or NFPA. 9. Must be familiar with NSF/ANSI standards required for the coatings and the processes used for the prepping and coating applications on potable water systems. B. Surge and Storage Tank Coating and Repairs Services: Work may consist of tank repairs, coating, and sandblasting when necessary water and reclamation tanks interior and exterior. The awarded contractor shall selfperform all of the work, be able to evaluate and recommend repairs, including any specialty coatings required. All methods and materials must meet NSF requirements for use with potable water.

Division 23 -	Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Facility Fuel Piping, Facility Fuel-Storage Tanks.
Division 31 -	Earthwork, Clearing and Grubbing, Grading.
Division 32 -	Exterior Improvements, Fences and Gates.
Division 33 -	Utilities, Storm Drainage Utilities.
