US 17/92 Landscaping from Dog Track Road to Raven Avenue

This contract comprises the construction of an irrigation system and installation of landscaping. Construction must be performed by a FDOT prequalified Landscape Contractor or an experienced qualified contractor that has specific expertise and experience in the performance of Roadway Landscape projects. 1. Installation of an underground irrigation system to provide water for the proposed landscaping from Raven Avenue to Dog Track Road and all necessary pipes, fittings, valves, controllers and incidentals to complete the irrigation system. 2. Installation of approximately 2,261 lineal feet of 2-inch to 6-inch diameter bore shot sleeves under the existing pavement between the median islands. 3. Provide the electrical connection from the solar powered controllers to the irrigation control valves. 4. Planting of small and large plant varieties as well as sod and mulch. 5. Coordinating with the City of Longwood to install six (6) waterline taps, meters and backflow meters.
