Description

The University plans to develop approximately 8,465 sq. ft. of vacant contiguous space in Suite 3815 on the third floor of Boelter Hall West into a Robotics Institute. The project is slated to be 1B type construction as mixed-use B occupancy, meeting LEED silver standards. Construction disciplines will include masonry/concrete work, exterior cladding, air/vapor barrier, aluminum store front product including exterior and interior glazing, building insulation, and acoustical treatments. Fire protection including spray on materials, fire alarm, and fire sprinklers. Gyp board wall assemblies and metal framing, steel, wood and metal roll up doors and frames, glass partitions, casework, suspended ceiling systems including T-bar and gyp board, as well as load-bearing Unistrut grid throughout the ceiling area and flooring. Mechanical systems included tie in to existing chilled water HVAC systems, duct work, fan coils, lab, hood, snorkel exhaust and dust collection systems and DDC controls. Plumbing systems including domestic H/C water, compressed air and specialty gases. Electrical systems including, normal power, E-power and mechanical power, lighting fixtures and controls.
