Description | Booth Operation: Supplied air shall be introduced into the booth through a ceiling intake plenum located at the top of the booth enclosure and exhausted through a filtered exhaust pit located in the floor of the booth. Supply air makeup unit shall be propane fired. Air shall be pulled vertically downward from the ceiling of the booth to the floor. The minimum average velocity across the booth footprint shall be 60 fpm with filters fully loaded. The intake plenum is shall be designed with high efficiency intake filters to remove dust and dirt before it enters the paint booth. This will provide a cleaner environment for a quality paint job. The booth shall be maintain a negative pressure of .05 inches of water. The booth shall have a cure mode capable of a maximum temperature of 160°F. The booth control system shall maintain booth pressure and temperature. The booth shall be designed with a minimum of two stages of exhaust filters to assure efficient particulate filtration from the exhaust filters. The exhaust plenum(s) shall be set up to house pocket filters as the primary filters and roll filter positioned over the bag filters. Location shall be based on system design. Construction: Booth panels shall consist of 18-gauge Pre-Coated White steel sheets. The panels are prepunched, and companion flanged for easy assembly. Booth support structure consists of structural steel “I” beam with trouble-free bolt together assembly. Booth shall be designed to support (2) “man lifts” and (1) “pneumatic crane” from booth structure. Equipment Start Up Shall Include: The safe and proper use of the manufactured equipment requires start-up, testing and training at the time of installation. After all the equipment has been installed and all the utilities have been connected to the equipment this service must be scheduled with the original manufacturer. Fire Suppression Design Shall Include: 1 dry pipe sprinkler system that includes: providing all design, material and labor to install a new code compliant dry pipe fire sprinkler system to protect the spray booth, connecting to a Government supplied fire service main within 30 feet, all new sprinkler main piping shall be rolled grooved SC 10 or 40. All new sprinkler line piping sizes shall be 1-1/4” to 2-1/2” threaded black SC40 with threaded or SC10 with rolled groove ends, 1” weld outlets. The sprinkler demand is 660 GPM at 54 PSI. |
