Description

1. Work will include removal and replacement of the Maintenance Garage Floor with Radiant Heated concrete. 2. The Floor will be replaced in two separate phases separated by the masonry wall in the middle of the shop. A. Phase 1 would be the Left Bay (closer to the main office) which is approximately 6,500 sq./ft. B. Phase 2 would be the Right Bay (closer to the parts room) which is approximately 5,700 sq./ft. 3. Dust containment will need to be installed between the left and right bays and between the offices and bays. 4. The trench drains shall be supplied and installed in the shop in a way as to drain all areas of the shop even the parts that will not have the floor replaced and will need to be plumbed properly to the oil/water separators. 5. The thickness of the concrete must be 12” with 5,000 PSI concrete and #5 reinforcing rebar 12” on center each way top and bottom at a minimum. 6. Concrete must be able to accommodate the weight of large construction equipment. 7. Concrete will be drilled and pinned from the new slab to the existing slab. 8. Construction joints cast in slab are to match the existing slab. 9. The large overhead door openings shall have angle iron at the joint between the concrete and pavement.
