Description | Site Improvements at Mendham Elementary School and Mendham Middle School Project ursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26, in order to be eligible to submit a bid for the Project, the Bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction ("DPMC") as of the date and time of the bid opening in one of the following disciplines: C008 General Construction; or C009 General Construction/Alterations/Additions Further, if the Bidder is not classified by the DPMC as C029 Structural Steel and Ornamental Iron and/or C047 Electrical, the Bidder shall be required to retain subcontractors that are DPMC classified C029 and/or C047. The C029 and/or C047 subcontractor(s) shall be named in the bid and all required documents for the subcontractor(s) shall be provided within the time required by the bid documents and/or by law. Bids shall be submitted on the provided proposal forms and be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond draw to the order of the "Mendham Township Board of Education" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, but in no case in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). Bid securities shall comply with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24. Bids shall include a Consent of Surety obligating the issuing surety company to provide the bidder and its subcontractors, if successful, with a New Jersey Statutory Performance and Payment Bond for public works projects in the full amount of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.50 et seq., Bidders and their subcontractors are required to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor. 27-3100-060-21-3000 27-3100-050-21-3000 Written Inquiries are due on April 6 th , 2023.
