Description

The Pecos WWTP Lagoon Abandonment Plan consists of earthwork, as well as demolition and disposal of sludge material. Base Bid: The base bid for this project consists of the removal of 860 Cubic yards of sludge from Lagoon #2. All sludge will be removed from the lagoon and disposed in a landfill licensed to accept the material. All sludge must past the paint filter test prior to delivery to the landfill. Additive Alternate A: The base bid for this project consists of the removal of 4436 Cubic yards of sludge from Lagoon #3. This additive alternate is broken into lots, with the intent to remove as much sludge as possible within the project budget. All sludge will be removed from the lagoon and disposed in a landfill licensed to accept the material. All sludge must past the paint filter test prior to delivery to the landfill. Additive Alternate B: This alternate includes 3817 Cubic Yards of grading in Pond 3. The pond liner in Pond 3 shall be removed and disposed of at an appropriate landfill. The pond bottom shall be graded such that there is no pooling to ensure positive drainage within the lagoon area. Additive Alternate C: This alternate includes 4910 Cubic Yards of grading in Pond 2. The pond liners shall be removed and disposed of at an appropriate landfill. The contractor shall remove all structures within the lagoons, including the lagoon aerators and associated wiring and any piping, as well as the concrete aerator removal structure and crane; the Existing concrete Chlorination Box will be removed as well.
