Description

As of 11/19/2019, no bids were received and no plans of re-bidding as of yet. Meadowbrook Reservoir No. 1 and Lower Meadowbrook Pump Station Demolition Engineers Estimated Cost: $550,000 to $575,000 Q & A Deadline is November 6, 2019 by 10:00 AM (Pacific). Dust and Debris Control: CONTRACTOR shall comply with SDAPCD Rule 55 Fugitive Dust Control during all demolition activities. Dust/debris control measures may include, but are not limited to, application of water or containment barriers. Suspend all dust/debris generating activities if winds exceed 25 miles per hour. This Section specifies the labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for the demolition, relocation, and/or disposal of all structures, building materials, equipment, and accessories to be removed as shown on the Drawings and as specified herein. B. There may be existing and active stormwater, wastewater, water, and other facilities on site as indicated on the Drawings. It is essential that these facilities, when encountered, remain intact and in service during the proposed demolition. Consequently, the Contractor shall be responsible for the protection of these facilities and shall diligently direct all his activities toward maintaining continuous operation of the existing facilities and minimizing operational inconvenience. C. Demolition generally includes: 1. Complete demolition and removal of steel reservoirs, reservoir appurtenances, piping, and mechanical and electrical equipment related to the Work as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. 2. Complete demolition of the Lower Meadowbrook Pump Station including all mechanical piping and appurtenances, vertical turbine pumps including the concrete pump foundations and pumping cans, all electrical equipment including the main electrical service and connecting conduits, and the pump station enclosure. The contractor shall protect in place and ensure continuous operation of the adjacent onsite pressure reducing station throughout the duration of construction. All piping and conduits connecting the pump station and the pressure reducing station shall be cut at the interface and capped (conduits) or a pressure rated blind flange shall be installed (piping). Project Duration: 180 Calendar Days Liquidated Damages: $1,500.00 Per Calendar Day Bid Bond Percentage: 10%
