Description

Bidder's questions (RFIs) should be directed to the Architect in writing only, via email to: jreit@somearchitects.com, no later than Monday, July 18, 2022. Answers shall be answered by Addenda, emailed on or before Thursday, July 21, 2022. Proposals must be made upon the forms provided. Bidders are notified that they must comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, as amended). Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided, in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications. Bids must be accompanied by consent of surety regardless of whether a check or Bid Bond is submitted. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish an acceptable Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond. Bidders must be authorized to do business in New Jersey. Any Bidder which is a corporation not chartered under the laws of the State of New Jersey, must submit an affidavit certifying that said corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bidders must be registered with the Department of Labor and are required to comply with the requirements of Public Law 1999, c.238, "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act", which became effective on April 11, 2000. Bidders, their subcontractors and suppliers, must comply with the New Jersey Business Registration requirements. Bidders shall comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:11-2.1 and N.J.S.A. 52:32-55 et seq. (P.L. 2012, Chap. 25) respecting the disclosure of investment activities in Iran. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of Public Law 1975, c.127 which pertains to "Non-Discrimination" and "Affirmative Actions"; Public Law 1977, c.33, which requires a Statement of Corporate Ownership; N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27, which pertains to "Equal Employment Opportunity" and "Affirmative Action". Bidders must also comply with the requirements of P.L. 1977, Chapter 33 amending the Local Public Contracts Law. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the opening of bids. A Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or all proposals will be rejected within sixty (60) days after the opening of bids. The successful Bidder shall execute a Form of Agreement supplied by the Owner, Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner & Contractor, AIA Document A101, and attach General Conditions of the Contract for Construction, AIA Document A201. The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Red Bank reserve the right to reject all bids if it is in the best interest of the Owner to do so, to reject unbalanced bids, and to waive any informality in any bid.
