| Description | The State of Maine is seeking proposals for the installation of upright marble headstones at the Maine Veterans' Cemetery located at 83 Stanley Rd, Springvale, ME 04083. These cemeteries represent an enduring tribute to veterans who have served honorably and their dependents. Each year, the Department performs 1,200 - 1,500 interments in Augusta. The headstones provided to the cemeteries for veterans and their dependents are roughly 48" tall and 230 lbs. Each requires careful, respectful placement, as the Department's goal is to disturb the area around graves as little as possible during initial installations and re-installations when stones tip or fall. The Department is seeking a contractor who will provide headstone installation and re-installation services at our Springvale locations: 83 Stanley Rd. |
