Description | The work or improvement to be performed generally consists of providing all labor, material, tools and equipment necessary to demolish and dispose existing picnic shelters including concrete floor slab and footings, install new picnic shelters including concrete slab floor with footings, construct new barbeque pads and concrete walkway, install new benches and other tasks as specified in the Bid Sheet for three neighborhood parks (Loma Park, Friendship Park and Heritage Park). Loma Park is located at 17503 Stark Street, Friendship Park is located at 13650 Acoro Street and Heritage Park is located at 18600 Bloomfield Avenue in the City of Cerritos. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure that the bid is received in the appropriate location by the deadline. Bids not received in the Office of the City Clerk by the deadline provided will not be considered. All Bids shall be made on the form furnished by the City and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above-stated time in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Cerritos, City Hall. The required completion term for the purpose of computing liquidated damages shall be thirty (30) calendar days Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security referred to in the Contract Documents and by a list of proposed subcontractors. Evidence of current City Business License (applies to contractor and all subcontractors), insurance, a Performance Bond, a Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Warranty Bond, as specified in the Contract Documents, will be required prior to execution of the contract. In accordance with Public Contract Code Section 22300, the bidder who is awarded the contract may substitute securities for retention money withheld by a public agency to ensure performance under the contract. The procedure and requirements for substituting said securities are set forth in Public Contract Code Section 22300, which is incorporated by this reference. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or portions thereof, or to waive any informality or irregularity in a bid to the extent allowed by law. No bid will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division III of the California Business and Professions Code. The contractor must possess a license of the following classification at the time the contract is awarded (and must maintain this license classification through completion of the project): "A" or "B". The bidder's attention is also directed to Section 7028.15 of the Business and Professions Code for further reference. |
