Main Avenue Streetscape Project - Long Hill Township

The work to be performed under this contract includes the installation of streetscape improvements consisting of 20 new decorative lighting standards, with 2 luminaires per standard; construction of a new meter cabinet and a new electrical service; construction of 1,825 linear feet of conduit and associated wiring for the installation of the new decorative lighting; modification of an existing signal to install a wireless vehicle detection system, including the replacement of the traffic signal controller; conversion of lamps on existing light standards to LED fixtures; and installation of street furniture including benches, planters and trash receptacles. The project also includes the removal of 822 square yards of concrete pavement and restoration with Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement Repair; reconstruction of 191 square yards of concrete driveway aprons and 814 linear feet of Belgian block curb associated with the installation of the new decorative lighting; construction of 191 square yards of concrete sidewalk, 6" thick and 558 linear feet of concrete vertical curb to provide ADA-compatible curb ramps; installation of traffic stripes, and other incidental work along Main Avenue.
