May Creek Drive Sewer Improvements

This project involves sewer system improvements on May Creek Drive in the City limits. The improvements include installing approximately 895 LF of 8" gravity sewer, 9 standard precast manholes, 60 LF 16" Jack & Bore, 7 service line installations to the road R/W, and all related appurtenances necessary to complete the work. The Work will be substantially complete within 120 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 135 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. The work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. The work will be awarded in one (1) Contract Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a Power of Attorney authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing.
