Description | For furnishing labor, materials, and performing all work set forth in the advertisement, general conditions, drawings, and specifications. Invitation, preparation, submittal, bidding requirements, all materials furnished and all work shall conform to applicable parts of the contract documents. The project includes renovations of the existing Blending Barn to convert it into a pavilion and park storage building as well as the associated site grading, paving, and limited utility work that will connect to township infrastructure. Bidders are invited to submit separate price proposals for furnishing all General Construction (Contract #1) and Electrical Construction (Contract #2) shown on the Drawings and described in the Specifications. Questions regarding the project must be sent via email kheffner@s-ga.com or in writing to Stromberg/Garrigan & Associates, Inc. at 102 E Main Street, Suite 300, Somerset, PA 15501. All questions and answers will be provided to bidders of record as addenda to the drawings and specifications and will become part of the contract. Questions must be submitted no later than Friday August 26th, 2022 at 5:00PM. Questions placed by telephone or facsimile will not be honored. Each proposal shall be accompanied by either a certified check or surety company bid bond in the amount of not less than ten (10%) of the contract amount. The same shall be made payable unto Potter Township. The minimum wage rates for each craft or classification of all workmen needed to perform this contract during the anticipated term hereof shall be governed by State Prevailing Wage Rates. Upon successful award of the contract, a 100% performance, 100% payment and 10% maintenance bond shall be required. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time set for the opening of bids. The Township will award separate contracts for General Construction and Electric per the Separations Act of 1913. The Township reserves the right to reject any part of or all proposals, or to waive any irregularity in the proposal when the Township deems such action advantageous to the Township. |
