Description | Lawn maintenance services for six (6) County buildings located in Sandusky, MI. The locations of the properties requiring lawn maintenance services are as follows: (A) Courthouse Building, 60 West Sanilac Ave., Sandusky, MI (B) State Police Post, 90 West Sanilac Ave., Sandusky, MI (C) Health Department Building, 171 Dawson Street, Sandusky, MI (D) Sheriff’s Office Building 65 N. Elk St., Sandusky, MI (E) Sanilac County E.O.C. Building, 95 Dawson St., Sandusky, MI (F) Sanilac County Recycling Center, 150 Orval St., Sandusky, MI Courthouse Building being a focal point within the City, and the hub for weekend events, it is imperative that this location be well maintained and cared for properly. Routine lawn maintenance service will be provided as weather deems necessary, from March through November. It is anticipated that during the spring season, it may be necessary to mow two times per week until growing slows. It is also possible that weather may not allow for mowing during March and November. Management will provide direction on when to start and stop mowing each year. Contractor must provide the following services for all locations: 1. Mowing all turf areas at 3.5 inches, edging all bed lines and landscape, trimming around trees, poles, monuments and areas that can’t accommodate a lawn mower. 2. Bed maintenance includes pruning all plants and trees so that the natural shape is maintained. This includes weeding landscape beds and tree wells. 3. Trimming/Pruning – includes large trees and shrubs with overhanging limbs that need to be trimmed and removed from the premises. Limbs on mature trees trimmed a minimum of 9 feet off of the ground. 4. Debris Removal - All cuttings, clippings and debris generated from the services will be removed by the vendor. Concrete areas and parking lots are to be blown or swept to remove grass trimming after mowing and trimming. 5. Fertilizing – Spring: fertilizer/crabgrass preventer; Fall: broadleaf weed control/fertilizer. Additional applications at the discretion of the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor. 6. Spring/Fall – Cleanup and removal of Winter debris (when weather permits) and fall cleanup/removal and/or mulching of leaves. |
