Tigard Street (Fanno Creek) Bridge Replacement - City of Tigard

This project will replace the existing bridge with a new bridge wide enough to accommodate pedestrians and cyclists (on both sides) along with vehicles. Environmental regulations will require a new bridge to be significantly higher and longer than the current bridge, which may necessitate some rework of the existing Fanno Creek Trail just west of the bridge. The creek greenway will be excavated to construct a large floodplain detention pond to mitigate the bridge project; the pond will store water during storms. As of July 6, 2023 a design team has been selected. Design commenced in Fall 2022. Construction is expected to occur in summer to fall 2024, possibly 2025.
