Kauai Emergency Repairs: Hanalei Hills And Waikoko

Affected potions of the Highway are located about 250 feet to the east of the intersection with Hanalei Plantation Road and terminates at the southern bank of Hanalei River Bridge. The Hanalei Site APE also includes two flumes/tunnels extending northeast and northwest, an area for a drainage system directly along the upper portion of Kuhio Highway, and a construction staging and stockpiling area near the Hanalei River Bridge. For the Waikoko Site, the APE consists of the mauka slopes adjacent to Kuhio Highway about 900 feet north of Waikoko Stream Bridge, as well as the Highway itself from approximately MP 4.4 to MP 4.7.
