Description | Union County, North Carolina, through Solid Waste, is soliciting bids from qualified firms for repairs to the existing metal push wall at the Union County Landfill as described in this bid document. Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid Form. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted in writing to the Procurement contact person listed on the cover page (corey.brooks@unioncountync.gov). Deadline for questions is February 9, 2023 at 5:00 PM local time. Union County encourages good faith effort outreach to Minority Businesses (HUB Certified) and Small Businesses. Bidders are required to comply with the non-collusion requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents. The County reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, including, without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids. The County also reserves the right to waive informalities and request clarification as needed. o Cut and patch damaged sections of push wall to repair damage. o Resurface horizontal sections of push wall (approximately seventy-five liner feet (75') with no less than 3/8" steel material. o Vertical height consists of a six-foot (6') section representing approximately twentyfive (25') linear feet and a four-foot vertical wall section (4') representing approximately fifty foot (50') linear section. o Resurface and reinforce horizontal wall portion with minimum 3/8" steel sheeting o Replace all slanted top cap using minimum 3/8" steel sheeting. o Top cap is angled approximately five feet (5') in depth. |
