Description | **As of May 10, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The project consists of rehabilitation of existing large diameter combined sewers where approximately 1,782 LF will be removed and replaced and 980 LF will be lined with geopolymer lining. Three existing manholes will also be removed and replaced, two will be refurbished. and one new manhole will be installed. This includes all required backfill, pavement planning, and resurfacing of the project area. The project also includes CCTV of the project sewers to be rehabilitated with geopolymer lining and bypass pumping. Details for mailing payment will be sent upon receipt of e-mail request. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Each bidder must be a registered plan holder with ms consultants, inc. to be eligible to submit a bid for this project. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. The Engineer's Estimate for these improvements is $5,916,200. Purchasing Department is located on the 3rd floor of the Municipal Building, 50 Town Square. Outside of the envelope not being properly marked may result in bid not being received by the Purchasing Department before the deadline and could result in bid being disqualified. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all partiesrecorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered Drawings and general provisions of Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and other Division specification sections, apply to work of this section. All to be evaluated in base price. B. Abbreviated Written Summary: Briefly, and without force and effect upon contract documents, work of the base contract can be summarized as follows: 1. The work consists of the construction, testing, and construction approvals from the Owner. a. Open-cut replacement of the 54-inch diameter sewers that had the spiral-wound liner installed in 2018 (MH 14032 to MH 13250) b. Geopolymer lining of the remaining sewers. The work shall be in accordance with these specifications and in reasonable, close conformity with the line and grades shown on the plans or established by the Design Professional. |
