Description

Presolicitation Notice FTQW21-2030, Repair Communications Facility HVAC The USPFO for Alaska intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) to award a single firm fixed-price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances, and supervision necessary for the repair of a HVAC system by utilizing conventional design and construction methods to accommodate the mission of the facility. The work includes renovation of the existing HVAC system including the addition of mechanical cooling (air conditioning) to increase occupant comfort, particularly in the summer months. IT also includes reconfiguration of the ductwork and registers in the server room to maximize cooling effectiveness for temperature sensitive equipment. All HVAC systems will be rebalanced and recommissioned, with controls fully integrated to Eielson's central system. Work is located at Eielson Air Force Base Alaska. The contract duration is approximately 270 days after Notice to Proceed, and will be further specified in the IFB. This project is set aside 100% for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) is 238220, with a size standard of $16,500,000. IAW FAR 36.204(e), the magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The tentative date for issuing the IFB is on-or-about 10 Aug 2022. A site visit will be held at a date and time specified in the IFB. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend and shall follow conference registration and base access requirements shown in the IFB. The bid opening date is scheduled for on-or about 13 Sep 2022. Actual dates and times will be identified in the IFB. Interested offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). To register, go to www.sam.gov. Instructions for registering are on the web page (there is no fee for registration). The IFB and associated information and the plans and specifications will be available only from the Contract Opportunities page at SAM.gov.
