Emergency Housing Rehabilitation Project

Existing Wood Decks, Removal: Raze and remove two existing wood decks from property. Properly dispose of used old wood decks and other debris per City of Fayetteville and/or Cumberland County regulations. Wood Deck 8' X 8' and Steps, Front of Dwelling: 1. Construct new 8' X 8' Wood Deck consisting of the following materials: 2. Concrete footings for post 3. 4" X 4" pressure treated ground contact rated wood post 4. 2" X 10" pressure treated girders, minimum 5. 2" X 10" pressure treated joists, minimum 6. 2" X 4" pressure treated block connectors, minimum 7. 1 5/32" X 6" pressure treated deck boards 8. Construct handrails and guards for three sides of deck using 2" X 4" pressure treated lumber for rails, 2" X 2" for pickets, and 1 5/32" X 6" for top cap 9. Construct steps with minimum of three stringers (4 step rise) and with 2" X 6" pressure treated treads 10.Construct handrails and guards for both sides of steps using 2" X 4" pressure treated lumber and 2" X 2" pickets 11.Brace deck per Code requirements 12.Use fasteners, nails, screws, hangers and/or other materials per Code requirements Wood Deck 10' X 12' and steps, Left End of Dwelling Construct new 10' X 12' Wood Deck consisting of the following materials: 1. Brace deck per Code requirements 11.Use fasteners, nails, screws, hangers and/or other materials per Code requirements Storm Door, Front of Dwelling: 1. Repair door frame as needed 2. ReDlace missine storm with new aluminum storm door
