Waite Street / SR-55 Water Main Improvements

Notice is hereby given that the Owner, City of Manchester, Tennessee, will accept bids for the construction of the Project identified as Waite Street / SR-55 Water Main Improvements. The following is a general description of the Project: Installation of approximately 185 LF of 8" water main with approximately 84 LF of 8" water mine being installed in 20" steel casing pipe installed under SR-55 by the jack & bore method. All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by the Contractor Licensing Act of 1976 (T.C.A. Title 62, ch. 6). No bid will be opened unless the sealed envelope containing the bid provides the following information: the contractor's full name as licensed, license number, the date of the license's expiration, that part of the classification applying to the bid, and other information required by law. In the case of joint ventures, this information must be provided by all parties submitting the bid. It is the policy of the City of Manchester, Tennessee to ensure compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964: 49 CFR, Part 21. No person shall be excluded from participation in or be denied the benfits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance on the grounds of race, color, sex, disability, or national origin.
