As of January 4 2024, the project has been awarded, however, information regarding a contract award amount and a timeline for construction have not been confirmed. The proposed project consists of several additions to the existing building along with ADA renovations to the existing restroom facilities at Garden City Fire Department. This will include selective demolition and reconstruction of concrete block exterior and interior walls, new plumbing fixtures and flooring with the replacement of the existing roof of the entire building. The anticipated start date is March 1, 2023, and substantially completed by October 1, 2023, with final completion by November 30, 2023. The Truck Bay addition must be completed to store existing vehicles in a heated space before inclement weather. Bidders must deposit, with their bid, surety in the form of a certified check, bank draft, or bid bond, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal.
