Description | This contract involves a Design Build approach for the construction of a shared use path from Eastern Hills Lane to Old Red Bank Road along the former railroad corridor and within Ault Park. The design work includes using City provided scope and preliminary design documents to complete all necessary project documents and obtain necessary approvals for construction work. Design scope includes professional services for: bridge structure rehabilitation, bridge deck design; shared used path line grade and typical design; drainage design; topographic, layout stake and as-built survey; landscape architect; and retaining wall design. Construction work involves the construction of new asphalt and concrete pavement to connect proposed shared use path to existing Wasson Phases to the west and existing trails to the east. The work of this contract includes the following: performing vegetation removal, earthwork, curbs, curb ramps; fence and railing; concrete walk; constructing asphalt and concrete paved trail; constructing storm water facilities; traffic control signage and pavement markings; constructing retaining walls; modifying an existing railroad bridge to shared use path bridge, including rehabilitation and painting of existing bridge superstructure; tree planting and site restoration. |
