Description

**As of August 1, 2022, bids received were rejected. No definite date for the rebid** Preliminary results will be available on QuestCDN immediately following. These Specifications and the accompanying Drawings describe the Work to be done and the materials to be furnished for the construction of the Allen County Bud Meeks Lift Station Improvements 2022 project. The Contractor shall complete all work for completely functional street improvements as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work is generally described as follows: 1. Lift Station and Valve Vault Improvements a. Remove and replace existing pump discharge bases, grinder guide-rail support brackets, pump guide-rail upper support brackets, discharge piping, pipe supports, anchors, valves, drain pipe, pressure gauge assembly, and pipe accessories. Remove and replace buried discharge piping up to 5 feet outside of valve vault. Tie into existing PVC force main. b. Furnish and install retro-fit safety grate within existing wet well opening. c. Furnish and install new Macerator, guiderails, and controls. d. Protect equipment to remain, including (2) ABS Pumps and (1) Level Probe, along with their associated control wiring. e. Remove and properly dispose of solid materials within the wet well. Cleaning beyond removal of materials shall be sufficient for proper safety and quality of workmanship. f. Surface Restoration 2. Electrical Improvements a. Remove existing junction box within lift station b. Furnish and install pull box, junction box, and all associated conduit and wiring. c. Incorporate new macerator controls into existing electrical for a complete and functional system.
