Description

The project scope includes the phased new construction of 691 townhomes, 564 apartments in 3 story buildings and 260 apartments in 4 story buildings on 491.2 acres on the east and west sides of Mallard Road between Brogden Road and Highway 70 Business East. Scope details have not been released. As of April 24, 2023 the project is in planning stage. The Smithfield Town Council approved a rezoning request on June 7, 2022. Additional submissions have not been made to town planning. Information regarding the architect, general contractor and method of selection has not been disclosed. The construction timeline has not been determined but is not expected to begin before the fall of 2023.
