Description | All bidders will submit, separate from the sealed bid, a resume of similar projects performed, enumerated, as to location, type of work, approximate completion date, and project engineering firms. Additionally, all bidders will submit a list of equipment owned by, or available to them, for the efficient pursuance of the project. Base bid work is at four park district operated sites in Crystal Lake Illinois The work for which proposals are requested will generally consist of, but shall not be limited to, the following: Pavement removal and reclamation, Base Course preparation, HMA paving, concrete curb and sidewalk installation, basketball court reconstruction; and other associated improvements. The successful bidder is required to pay the general prevailing wage for work under this Contract as ascertained by the Illinois Department of Labor, and shall submit certified payroll records, in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and the requirements of the Bidding Documents. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashier's Check, or Certified Check in the amount of TEN (10) percent of the total bid amount, made payable to the Crystal Lake Park District shall accompany the bid. The Crystal Lake Park District reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to award all or part of a contract, and to make such awards as are in the best interests of the Park District. Factors other than price which will be considered in awarding or rejecting bids shall include the results of reference contacts, and the quality of the bidders performance on prior Park District projects, if any, in the judgment of the Park District Board and Park District staff. All proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of 60 days. Construction work is anticipated to start September 12, 2022, with substantial completion by November 18, 2022, and a final completion date of May 26, 2023. NOTE: Color coat work completion is proposed with a date of May 26, 2023. Final Completion is Defined as Restoration and Punch List Items Addressed on Court Construction, Except for Color Coat. Per Idot Specification 108.09, Delay Charges Assessed for Everyday Past Final Completion Date. |
