Description | The existing campground sanitary Dump Station located in Illinois Beach State Park has failed. After further inspection, it was determined that the two (2) existing 2” grinder pumps, associated stainless steel rail system, and electrical controls, are beyond repair, and need replaced. SCOPE OF WORK: Disconnect and remove two (2) existing 2” grinder pumps (Weil Pump Model 2500), associated wiring, and associated stainless steel rail system. Disconnect and remove existing control panel and associated wiring. Disconnect and remove all existing floats and associated control wiring. Provide and install two (2) new 1.5 horsepower (minimum) grinder pumps and associated wiring. Each pump is to be rated at 80 gallons per minute at 10 feet of Total Dynamic Head (TDH) minimum, and be rated at 20 A, 208/240 V, 60 Hz, 1 phase, and 1750 RPM (minimum). New pumps to include double opposed mechanical seal and 25 feet of power cable (minimum). Provide and install new stainless steel rail system per pump manufacturers recommendation. Provide and install new float system to control pumps. Provide and install new conduit, conductors, fasteners, boxes, straps, and fittings for above installation. Provide thermal overload and outer seal failure alarms on both new pumps. New control panel to include On/Off/Auto switches, run time meter, exterior alarm and light, in a NEMA 3R Rated enclosure. Control panel to rotate lead/ lag pumps for equal wear. Provide start up, testing, and new float elevations. All new work is to comply with the current National Electric Code (NEC) and the current Illinois State Plumbing Code (ISPC). |
