Description

The purpose of this solicitation is to competitively obtain bids to acquire supplies, services or equipment which complies with the enclosed description and/or specifications and conditions for Richland School District Two for the following project: Boiler Inspection, Maintenance & Repair Services, 22-2341. Richland School District Two will accept bids from qualified firms to provide boiler inspection, maintenance and repair service to include heating equipment throughout the Richland School District Two. This contract shall also cover all work as needed for all of the steam and hot water equipment including but not limited to steam piping, steam traps, check valves, hot water pumps and piping, steam and hot water valves, hot water coils, etc. These specifications cover services to furnish all supervision, labor, materials, training, technical support, supplies and equipment necessary to provide the required level of services. All preventive maintenance must meet the current published standards required by South Carolina Labor Licensing Regulations (SCLLR) and the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) requirements pertaining to Service or Preventive Maintenance of Boilers. Authorized District personnel will provide reasonable means to access all devices which are to be maintained. The Contractor shall be free to start and stop all primary equipment incidentals to the operation of the system. Starts and stops shall be coordinated with Maintenance Department and all affected occupants shall be notified in advance. Care shall be taken to not overload the system and cause high ratchet to occur on electrical power. The work shall be scheduled so that all boiler equipment is operative at any time students and/or staff are on campus or any district facility. Contractor shall have necessary tools and equipment to perform all inspection, maintenance and repair functions as outlined in this document. All repairs, alterations and modifications to the boiler must be performed by a competent and qualified person familiar with/in performing boiler inspection, repair, alteration and modification work and all requirements outlined by and Federal laws and the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (SCLLR). Contractor shall purchase and provide all brand new manufacturers' replacement parts for each model of boiler. Aftermarket parts shall not be used unless approved by the District. Warranty on all equipment and systems provided must come with the maximum granted by the manufacturer. Vendor shall provide manufacturer's warranty documents with full disclosure of any and all warranty terms, conditions and tenures on each equipment and system provided under this solicitation. The equipment and systems shall be warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of not less than twelve (12) months. If the manufacturer's standard warranty exceeds twelve (12) months, then the standard warranty period shall apply. Vendor shall furnish manufacturer's warranty to the District at the time of delivery. The current equipment inventory operated is comprised of various makes, models, ages and sizes. As equipment is replaced or expansion occurs, equipment may be substituted, deleted, or added to the inventory. The District reserves the right to add, delete, revise and expand services in response to changing requirements. All modifications will be executed using a written Change Order with negotiated adjustments to the contract. Question Submission Deadline:April 17, 2023, 11:00am
