Description

https://www.thebee.news/city-wide-maintenance-and-capital-improvement-projects-week-of-april-10/ City-Wide Maintenance and Capital Improvement Projects Week of April 10 BULLHEAD CITY, AZ., April 7, 2023 - City of Bullhead City staff and contractors will be working on the following projects throughout our city during the week of April 10: City Public Works staff will be overnight slurry sealing select high volume streets around the city including Adobe Rd between Mohave Dr and Canyon Rd. Closures for overnight slurry work will begin around 8 p.m. each night and roads will reopen by 5 a.m. the next morning. City staff will be sweeping streets and sealing cracks ahead of the slurry schedule. The complete slurry schedule is always available at www.bullheadcity.com/csmp. Contractors continue work on the new amenities being added to the North end of Community Park. The entire project at the north end of Community Park is anticipated to be completed and opened for the public before the summer of 2023. Public Works staff will be working to convert the Bullhead Belle into a permanent structure at Community Park during next few months. The City plans to open the Bullhead Belle as a riverside restaurant and event center during June 2023. A contractor will be rehabilitating the 16-2 wastewater lift station located on Clubhouse Dr west of highway 95. The project will involve installing paneling made of Predl material to protect the well from hydrogen sulfide gas corrosion. The city anticipates the completion of the 16-2 lift station rehabilitation project in late May. Upon the completion of the project at 16-2, the city will begin the same work at the 18-2 lift station with the expectation that the project will be completed by the end of July. The City reminds the public to please only flush human waste, toilet paper, and grey water down the drain. All other waste products should be disposed of through other means to avoid damage the city's infrastructure. Please use caution while traveling through City work zones. Obey posted signage and traffic control devices. Questions about ongoing projects throughout the city can be directed to Mackenzie Covert, Public Information Officer, at mcovert@bullheadcityaz.gov or (928) 763-0182 ___________________ The concrete wet wells at 16-2, 18-1 and 18-2Lift Stations have experienced significant corrosionand will continue to corrode until theyhave become structurallyunsound unless he process ishalted and the structures are repaired. Thena protective coating will be applied to prevent and inhibit corrosionof the concrete inthe future. As of November 05, 2021, this project is currently in the FY 2022-2027 CIP .
