Description

The rehabilitation of two water storage tanks consists of the following: Coordinate with the Town of Wallkill Supervisor or his/her designatee.Remove and dispose offsite all sediment inside the tank (Inwood & Tower B)Install a mixing system, including electrical installation in the tank (Tower B)Replace an existing 24" manway with a 30" manway (Inwood & Tower B)Install anti-skid rungs, and remove and replace the existing cable type safety devices for the shell ladder (Inwood & Tower B)Install anti-skid rungs on the roof ladder (Inwood)Install cable type safety devices for the roof ladders (Inwood & Tower B)Repair all cracks and spalling in the concrete foundations. Caulk the base of the tanks and seal the foundations (Inwood, Tower B, Connors Road A & B)Replace the existing roof vents (Inwood & Tower B)Replace the screen on the overflow pipe (Inwood & Tower B)Furnish and install signage (Inwood & Tower B Tanks and Inwood site)Furnish and install a partial handrail system for the roof ladder (Inwood & Tower B)Sandblast and paint the interior and exterior surfaces (Inwood & Tower B)Sandblast and paint the exterior surfaces of the three (3) Rykowski Filter TanksPressure wash the exterior surfaces (Tower A)Disinfect the tank (Inwood & Tower B)Perform bacteriological and VOC testing (Inwood & Tower B) All checks shall be drawn payable to Pitingaro & Doetsch Consulting Engineers P.C. and mailed via first class mail to 15 Industrial Drive, Suite 2, Middletown, NY 10941---- OR --- these documents may be sent electronically for $25.00 upon an email request to Linda Kump at lkump@panddengineers.com. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Guarantee in an amount equal to at least 5% of the amount of the Bid, payable to the Town of Wallkill as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract. OWNERS RIGHTS RESERVED The Town of Wallkill hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any formality or technicality in any Bid in the interest of the Owner. STATEMENT OF NONCOLLUSION Bidders are required to execute a non-collusion bidding certificate pursuant to Section 103d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements relating to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Segregated Facilities, Section 109, and Executive Order 11246. Bidders are also required to comply with the provisions of Sections 291-299 of the Executive Law of the State of New York and all other applicable laws and regulations.
