Description | Mountain Road/ Cemetery Bituminous Patch & Curb Project. Site preparation, grading & compacting of approximately 2,200 sq. ft. of base material. Provide and install approximately 24 tons of binder asphalt material and approximately 15 tons of top course asphalt material. Provide and install approximately 350' of bituminous curb on a 2"x2" pad. Project details are in the specification on the Town website. The purpose/intent of these specifications are for the patching and installation of bituminous curb following a construction project that installed 3 new catch basins and adjusted the grade of the Erving Center Cemetery as it meets the Mountain Road layout. 2.2 The contractor is responsible for the following scope of work: 1) This work is to be conducted using prevailing wage. 2) The removal, transportation and disposition of approximately 1,200 sq. ft. of asphalt 3) Provide and install base material including the grading and compacting of the area which is approximately 2,200 sq. ft. 4) Provide and install binder asphalt material to a compacted thickness of 2.5". Estimated 24 tons. 5) Provide and install top course asphalt material to a compacted thickness of 1.5". Estimated 15 tons 6) Provide and install approximately 350' linear of bituminous curb. The curbing will have an 8" revealed finish and will be installed on a 2" x 2" asphalt pad. 7) Backfill soil behind curbing as necessary, rake and seed. Soil and seed provided by the Town. 2.3 Dimensional requirements and estimated tonnage are provided for information purposes. Contractors are encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to take measurements. The Contractor is responsible for the accurate measuring of all identified spaces and fulfilling the requested work for the bid price. Photos from the site have been included for informational purposes in Attachment G. 2.4 Warranties: The Contractor will warranty the installation and labor for this work for up to one (1) year from the completion of the installation.
