Description

A. Each Contractor shall supply labor, transportation, material, apparatus, scaffolding and tools necessary for the entire and proper completion of this Work, and each shall install, maintain and remove equipment for the proper execution of this contract, and be responsible for the safe, proper and lawful performance of his equipment, maintenance and use of the same, and shall perform in the best manner, and everything property incidental to, as indicated on the drawings or specifications or reasonably implied in accordance with the Contract Documents. B. When multiple work scopes are bid, each contractor shall provide sufficient manpower, tools and equipment to independently accommodate the construction schedule at each site. C. It is intended that the drawings and technical specifications shall form a guide for the entire work, complete, to be accomplished under this contract. Where an item is not specifically mentioned and is reasonably necessary for the complete work, the Contractor shall furnish and install same under this contract. Should questions or conflicts arise, they must be directed to the Construction Program Manager in writing prior to ordering/delivery or installation/construction of questioned item. D. All sections of Division 00 (Bidding and Contract Requirements) and all sections of Division 01 (General Requirements) shall apply to the Work of each Contract. E. The trade contractor shall take field measurements and field verify conditions with the contract documents before commencing work. Any errors, inconsistencies or omissions shall be reported to the Construction Program Manager. No change orders shall be awarded on account of minor differences between actual field conditions and contract documents. F. In the event that the contractor fails to take corrective action (after 24 hour written notice from the Construction Program Manager) to ensure compliance with safety regulations, the Program Construction Manager shall remedy said situation according to OSHA standards and charge corrective costs to said contractor without further notice to the trade contractor. G. It is the responsibility of each contractor to reference all drawings and specifications to determine their full work scope. There is no agent for the receipt of bids other than the Superintendent of Dover- Eyota Public Schools, Jeremy Fries. Bids shall be submitted on bid form provided by the Bid Documents. The completed bid form shall be submitted without alterations, additions or erasures. Envelopes containing bid must be sealed & marked "Dover Eyota High & Middle School Additions & Renovations" with the name and address of the bidder, the date and hour of the opening and work scope. Each bid of $10,000 or greater shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, or a bid bond in the amount of at least five (5%) percent of the amount of the bid made payable to Dover-Eyota School District NO. 533 as bid security that, if the bid is accepted, the contractor will execute the contract and file the required performance and payment bonds within the allotted time period after notice of award of contract. Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or parts of bids and waive any formalities or irregularities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after bid opening without consent of the Board of Education.
