Rushton Groundwater Treatment Plant General and Electrical Contractor Prequalification

The Rushton Water Treatment Plant (WTP) project includes the construction of a CMU 70 foot x 70 foot building with architectural features, HVAC, plumbing, drains, electrical and controls. The treatment processes include two parallel horizontal pressure filters with GreensandPlus media and onsite sodium hypochlorite generation. The WTP is sized for up to 6,000 gpm. The District has already engaged in a procurement process for the horizontal pressure filters, media and other ancillary equipment and this has been awarded to Kurita/Tonka. The site work includes landscaping, grading, drainage, fencing, security and lighting for the entire Accord Site. The yard piping includes approximately 226 feet of 8-inch stormdrain, 475 feet of 18-inch sewerline, 683 feet of 24-inch raw waterline and 1,000 feet of 24-inch and 407 feet of 36-inch finished waterline. Additionally, the project includes replacing the existing Well #12 onsite sodium hypochlorite system with an upsized system and changing the Well #12 pump from oil to water lube and adding a stage. All sewer and water services will need to remain in-service for the duration of the project, with the exception of Well #12. The District has been working with Salt Lake County, the owner of Redwood Park to the west of the Accord Site as well as the property to the north, and the Jordan Meadows Townhomes HOA, the owners of the property to the east of the Accord Site.
