Description

The City of Kerrville (“City”) extends this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) to solicit a Statement of Qualification (“SOQ”) from any interested party (“Proposer”) for Design-Build (“DB”) Services (“Services”) for the A. C. Schreiner House (“Project”). The City of Kerrville has elected to convert the historic A.C. Schreiner House on the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library Campus into the Heart of the Hills Heritage Center. The Project will consist of the renovation and conversion of the structure into a new public museum and City offices as well as other improvements to the site including ADA compliant access, HVAC, New Elevator, Entry Plaza, Amphitheater, Pavilion, Parking, Arbor, Overlook, Trail / Trailhead, Outdoor Display and Market and Gathering Spaces. The Project site is owned by the City and located at 529 Water Street Kerrville, TX. Additional site information can be found in the Design Criteria package in Attachment A. All direct questions about the meaning or intent regarding this RFQ and Project shall be submitted through the Q&A Section in Civcast. Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Kerrville, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum; for site work for a museum; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot. The City Kerrville plans to convert a historic house in Kerrville, Texas, into multi-purpose facility for use by staff and the general public. The City has elected to use the Design-Build method of project delivery authorized by Texas Government Code 2269 to facilitate design and construction necessary for the renovation of this facility. The preliminary building program is: o A.C. Schreiner House - 1st & 2nd floor museum o A.C. Schreiner House - 3rd floor archives/storage, meeting rooms, offices and work stations o Install additional electrical components including new outlet for displays o Upgrade the building to meet current ADA requirements o Install a new elevator o Install HVAC throughout the building o Entry Plaza o Amphitheater o Pavilion o Parking o Arbor o Overlook o Trail / Trailhead o Outdoor Display o Market and Gathering Spaces The budget for the Project (design and construction) is $3,250,000.
