Improvements at West Pines Golf Club

The City of Douglasville is undertaking a renovation to the course and grounds at West Pines Golf Club. This project will consist of a complete driving range renovation, rebuilding Hole #5 after the completion of a sewer line expansion, improvements to the teeing complexes on the golf course, and a new putting green installed near the clubhouse. SCOPE OF SERVICES: The project includes but is not limited to the following: Design Services Designs will be provided and overseen by Bill Bergin of Bergin Golf Designs and are attached to this packet. All work must be approved by Bill Bergin and City staff Construction Phase The complete list of items which should be included in the construction phase for the aforementioned renovation of West Pines Golf Club include: MOBILIZATION - EROSION CONTROL - DEMOLITION - CLEARING - EARTHWORK - SHAPING - DRAINAGE - GREEN CONSTRUCTION - TEE CONSTRUCTION - BUNKER CONSTRUCTION - IRRIGATION - FINISHING - GRASSING LOCATION / SITE BREAKDOWN - West Pines Clubhouse is located at 9090 Rose Avenue, Douglasville, GA 30134 - West Pines Maintenance Building is located at 6606 Selman Avenue, Douglasville, GA 30134 - Work is to be performed on the driving range, on the 5th hole, and two additional holes at a time and is broken down as follows: Driving Range - Complete renovation, redesign, and reconstruction - Rebuilt irrigation lines with all new heads - Regraded and re-grassed fairway and rough areas - 2.85 acres of fairway grass will be sprigged - 101,537 sq. feet of fairway will be sodded - Redesigned and newly constructed teeing area totaling 23,148 sq. feet - Five newly constructed target greens - Five newly constructed short game target greens Hole 1 - New USGA spec putting green adjacent to Cart Barn and behind teeing area - Putting green is 13,647 sq. feet - Green surround will be sodded totaling 11,402 sq. feet - Two new forward tees totaling 1,503 sq. feet Hole 2 - Two new forward tees totaling 1,504 sq. feet Hole 3 - One new forward tee box totaling 752 sq. feet Hole 4 - One new forward tee box totaling 752 sq. feet Hole 5 - Newly constructed USGA spec putting green totaling 5,681 sq. feet - Regraded and re-grassed fairway and rough areas totaling 48,952 sq. feet - Newly constructed bunker totaling 1,377 sq. feet - Redesigned and newly constructed tee Hole 9 - One new forward tee box totaling 752 sq. feet Hole 10 - One new forward tee box totaling 1,1519 sq. feet Hole 11 - One new forward tee box totaling 752 sq. feet Hole 12 - One new forward tee box totaling 752 sq. feet Hole 13 - One new forward tee box totaling 752 sq. feet Hole 14 - One new forward tee box totaling 752 sq. feet Hole 15 - One new forward tee box totaling 1,678 sq. feet Hole 16 - One new forward tee box totaling 752 sq. feet Hole 17 - One new forward tee box totaling 752 sq. feet Hole 18 - One new forward tee box totaling 752 sq. feet Native Areas - 3.0 acres of native areas will be spread around between driving range and various holesboxes totaling 6,257 sq. feet Hole 6 - One new forward tee box totaling 752 sq. feet Hole 7 - One new forward tee box totaling 752 sq. feet Hole 8 - One new forward tee box totaling 1623 sq. feet.
