Description | For the Collection, Hauling, and Disposal of Mixed Municipal Solid Wastes, Bulky Wastes, and White Goods, and the Collection, Hauling, and Processing of Recyclables from the Town of Newstead and the Village of Akron to be collected together. All bids shall be made in full on forms furnished and shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked "Collection, Hauling, and Disposal of Mixed Municipal Solid Wastes, Bulky Wastes, and White Goods and the Collection, Hauling, and Processing of Recyclables," and directed to the attention of the Town Clerk of the Town of Newstead, Newstead Town Hall 5 Clarence Center Road, P.O Box 227, Akron, New York 14001. If a contract is awarded for the Town of Newstead and the Village of Akron as a single contract, the contract will allow the bidder to co-mingle solid wastes from the Town and Village together and to co-mingle recyclables from the Town and Village together with the costs for the disposal of waste and the proceeds from the processing of recyclables to be allocated between the Town and Village on a per unit basis. The contract price adjustments based upon additional units collected under the joint contract shall only increase with respect to those units collected in the Town when an additional 10 units are added to the Town and with respect to those units collected in the Village when an additional 10 units are added to the Village. Each bidder's attention is called to General Municipal Law, which requires a bidder's Certificate of Non-Collusion, Waiver of Immunity, and Certificate of Compliance with the Iran Divestment Act and Equal Employment Opportunity Act. Copies of such certificates are part of the Proposal Form and this bid will not be accepted without properly completed certificates. No bidder may withdraw their bid before the expiration of 45 calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Town of Newstead and the Village of Akron each reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality. The Town of Newstead and the Village of Akron do not obligate themselves to accept the lowest bid or any other proposal. |
