Description | Bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the Township and accompanied by bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time for the opening of bids. The successful bidder will be required to post a performance bond or other surety, to be in force for the length of the contract, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract award. The Board of Supervisors of New Garden Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any defects and/or irregularities in any bid and to make any award in any manner consistent with applicable laws, which is in the best interest of the Township. Requests for clarification are due Monday, November 7, 2022 4:00:00 PM [(UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)]. The first phase involves removal of the "Caretaker Home" (Structure on #1 in Attachment #2) and associated utility lines with septic line cap, and backfill/compaction. This phase also involves removal of all remaining appurtenant material The second phase involves demolition of Structures identified on slides #2 - #12 in Attachment #2. Contractor shall demolish and remove all above and below ground debris and appurtenances including but not limited to; the main structure and/or any detached structures, all basements, footings, foundations, floors, porches, private sidewalks and debris of any kind. Contractor shall include the demolition and removal of all parking slabs, concrete and/or asphalt flatwork (not including park road areas), accessory/ detached structures, sheds or garages, trees, or any underground piping, junk, trash or dead trees which may be present. No debris shall be left or buried on the site. Demolition methods must include a means of controlling dust generated on the site. It is anticipated that the Board of Supervisors of New Garden Township will award the contract at its October 17, 2022, meeting, which will be held at 7:00 PM at the New Garden Township Building. |
