City Hall Electrical Renovations

The project consists of demolition of architectural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical items, renovation of the electrical service, grading, excavation, landscaping and retaining wall work, electrical distribution equipment, and exterior generator and associated equipment, doors, walls, finishes, minor mechanical, plumbing and sprinkler work. The engineers estimate for the work is between $1.8 million and 2.2 million. The anticipated project schedule is to start construction in summer 2020 and complete construction in early spring 2021. Bids shall be a stipulated sum as indicated in the Bid Form. Bids must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5% percent of Bidders maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 6.01 and 6.02 of the General Conditions. The City of Portsmouth reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technical or legal deficiencies, to re-bid, and to accept any bid that it may deem to be in the best interest of the City.
