Description

**As of June 8, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is seeking bids from prospective Bidders on behalf of the District Court of Maryland to provide all labor and materials to remove an existing wall and install a bullet resistant glass wall with a door and two (2) transaction windows at the Ellicott City Commissioners Office, as well as installation of ballistic panels under ten (10) exterior windows. Bidder shall provide all materials, labor, supervision, and expertise required to complete the following: 1. Remove existing wall, transaction window, door, and exterior windows. 2. Furnish and install a new wall including level III bullet resistant glass with two (2) arched natural voice transaction windows with built-in deal trays, ballistic wall panels, and a ballistic door. 3. The ballistic door shall be 3 x 68 consisting of level III ballistic with oak veneer, stained to match the existing doors, and requires an electronic strike lock. 4. Furnish and install level III ballistic panels on the reminder of the wall next to the BR wall. 5. Remove ten (10) existing exterior windows and install ten (10) exterior windows consisting of level III bullet resistant glass and ballistic panels under the exterior windows. a. The existing windows are 37 inches x 39 inches, dark bronze anodized aluminum frames. b. Replacement windows shall have a tinted or mirrored finish. Remove and replace the drywall panels under the exterior windows with level III ballistic panels with a laminate finish. a. The existing panels are 115" x 30", 197" x 30", and 73" x 30". 7. Furnish and install two (2) ADA height arched natural voice transaction windows with a counter and deal tray. 8. Deal trays shall be 16" W x 8" D x 2 3/4 " H stainless steel with a curved bottom. Frames shall be dark bronze anodized aluminum. 9. The Successful Bidder shall provide shop drawings and cut sheets at least ten (10) days prior to commencement of any work and shall receive signed approval of the same from the Contract Manager.
