Steelfield Landfill Daily Cover Services

The Bay County Board of County Commissioners (County) seeks bids from qualified vendors to provide excavation and hauling services daily for cover material consisting of mulch and/or soil. Bidder shall complete the form in Attachment 1 and submit with the bid documents. References should be available to be contacted during normal working hours. The County will choose, at its own discretion, references to contact in order to complete the evaluation questionnaire in Attachment 1. In the event that the Bidder has performed work as a prime vendor for the County within the last five years, the County shall attempt to contact one County and one non-County reference. The County will attempt to contact each selected reference by phone. In the event that the contact person cannot be reached, the Bidder shall receive a score of zero (0) for that reference evaluation. The County will not attempt to correct incorrectly supplied information. Bidders who receive less than a satisfactory evaluation may not be considered a qualified bidder by the County. The County Purchasing Department will be the only point of contact for this ITB. Under no circumstances may a bidder contact any County Commissioner, County Administrator, or County employee concerning this ITB until after award. Any such contact may result in disqualification as per Bay County Code Section 2-124. QUESTIONS Bidders shall submit all questions, in writing, to the Purchasing Department via email Purchasing@baycountyfl.gov, the Bonfire portal, or FAX to (850) 248-8276. All questions shall be submitted no later than 5:00 pm (CDT) on Monday, July 18, 2022. Vendors shall be licensed in trades if licenses are required. Vendors shall identify subcontractors that are providing services requiring a license under Florida law. Bids may be deemed nonresponsive if not accompanied by proof of any required State of Florida license.
