Description | As of 09/08/2022 Their elected body chose not to award this project As of September 1, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. At this time, the project is not expected to be awarded. It has not been confirmed if the project will be rebid. Bids will then be reviewed, tabulated, and submitted to the Board of Public Works on Monday, July 18th, 2022 for consideration and recommendation to the Common Council at their regular meeting on Tuesday, July 26th, 2022 for Award of Contract. Contract 2022-02 includes the opening and construction of new streets within the Green Acres Estates 1st Addition (street opening), including: o E. 21st Street, Washington Avenue to Green Acres Drive. o S. Aspen Avenue, 21st Street to Herkert Drive. o Herkert Drive, 21st Street to Aspen Avenue. o Madi Circle, 21st Street to 21st Street. Street/opening construction will include new sanitary sewer mains, manholes and laterals; new water mains, valves, hydrants and services; new storm sewer mains, catch basins, area drains and storm laterals; along with new streets with drained subbase, pipe underdrains, geotextile fabric, concrete curb & gutter and asphalt pavement (by others). This project will also include the removal/filling of the existing wet pond (located at the southeast corner of 21st Street and Aspen Avenue), construction of a new wet pond detention basin, construction of side/rear lot-line ditches and an asphalt path. All new streets will remain closed to through traffic and pedestrian traffic until completed. Washington Avenue shall be closed to all traffic (with detour required by Contractor) for the proposed water main connections and street repairs at 21st Street.
