CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 3/24/2023 12:00 PM Either an original Certified Check, Official Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the "City of Altoona" equal to ten (10%) percent of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal. Note that the Bid Bond must be in effect for a period of sixty (60) days from the bid opening date. Mayor and City Council reserve the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality not material to the bid and to award the contract as may be deemed to the best interest of the City of Altoona. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof . Work performed on this project will be subject to prevailing wage rates as established by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. hese detailed specifications are based on a 60 mil. EPDM Fully Adhered Roofing System (VersiGard), or equal, and are considered minimum standards that all bidders must meet or exceed. Bidders must submit the manufacturer's specifications/details with their proposal. All work under this contract shall be in accordance with the roof manufacturer's specifications, the UCC (City of Altoona's Building Code) and these specifications. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, scaffolding, and equipment necessary to construct the project to the specifications and photographs, as referred to, and perform all else necessary for the proper completion of the project to the satisfaction of the engineer and/or his representative. All work to be done in accordance with UCC (Altoona City Code) and industry and/or manufacturing standards. Whenever roof manufacturer's specifications and details are specified, the edition current at the date of the invitation to bid shall be the edition in force. 2.
