Description

Inquiries must include: 1) Qualified contractors to perform home weatherization services. 2) Qualified individuals to perform home assessments/inspections. A- Please note that interested Weatherization Contractors must provide the following: 1) An agency-approved Weatherization Training Certificate 2) Proof of General Liability Insurance ($1,000,000.00 minimum) 3) Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance 4) Alabama State Business License 5) EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm Certificate 6) Proof of reputable/seasoned experience in Weatherization 7) Three (3) references B- Qualified Contractors are required to confirm the following: 1) Demonstrate proficiency with the Blower Door Air Tightness System to reach targeted building tightness limits. 2) Complete the valid Lead Renovators Certification with the safe work practices and document these practices for every unit. 3) Comply and meet target dense-pack wall insulation measuring at a 3.2 psi or better compaction. 4) Possess valid Gas Fitters, Electrical and HVAC licenses. Individuals performing home inspections must possess a valid Building Performance Institute (BPI) Quality Control Inspector (QCI) Certification.
