Description

Scope of Work Marion County MSTU Department is currently seeking quotes from qualified contractors to remove and install new Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT) at the Silver Springs Shores Community Center Lobby/Function Room, Hallways and Kitchen. NOTE: All prospective respondents are hereby advised to NOT CONTACT County officials other than Marion County Procurement Staff with regard to this project. All questions regarding this project shall be faxed to 352-671-8451. Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. Marion County believes that hiring done through this contract should, to the maximum extent, be offered to citizens within its boundaries that are unemployed or seeking work for the first time. For questions relating to this solicitation, contact: Shari Chinevere shari.chinevere@marionfl.org Question Date 24 March 2023 Time 12 PM The work to be quoted includes the removal of existing carpet and VCT, floor preparation and complete installation of new VCT in the following areas of the Community Center: Lobby/Function Room, Hallways and Kitchen. Floor Preparation: Inspect the floor and repair cracks, pits, holes, or other uneven patches if applicable. Grind imperfections. The surface must also be as smooth and flat as possible. Wash the concrete floor thoroughly using water and household detergent or degreaser, as per manufacturer recommendation. All adhesives and VCT installation shall be as per manufacturer specifications.
